Service to National Community

We serve and support our national community in the following ways:

• Our congregation provides regular financial support to the ELCA Disaster Response Fund that gives immediate and ongoing assistance to those areas affected by natural disasters.  Visit the ELCA website to learn more and for information on how to donate to this fund.
  
• We participate in an offering of letters to Congress in support of legislation and increased funding to accelerate progress on global nutrition. The letter-writing campaign is sponsored by Bread for the World, a collective Christian voice urging our nation's decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad. During May each year, look for an information table in our narthex with sample letters and other information. To learn more, please visit Bread for the World's website, bread.org/ol.

We serve and support our global community by our congregation’s regular support of:

• the ELCA’s World Hunger Appeal.  To learn more and for information on how to donate to this fund please visit the ELCA website or request a World Hunger Appeal donation envelope from the church office to place your donation in the offering plate.
